To speak of America is speak of the ongoing convergence of religion and race. These are two themes that have continued to be intricately and indelibly linked - And yet the melody lingers. These twenty-two (22) essays, sermons and prayers offer snapshots of one person's thought and praxis with regard to the themes of religion and race in America. Written over the course of a decade (1995-2004) the pieces that comprise this volume are a part of an ongoing journey - a litany of reflection/action - on these important themes. These writings can also be seen as a prayer that racism - and all of its atrocious effects - will someday be eradicated.
