Overview
Although a knowledge of pharmaceutics (physical chemistry applied to pharmaceuticals) is essential in the design and manufacture of modern pharmaceutical dosage forms, a knowledge of the interaction of dosage forms with the body (clinical pharmaceutics) is essential for the practicing pharmacist. This textbook will thus describe a variety of dosage forms and their clinical importance and use.
