Overview

Edition/printing unstated. Bound in orange cloth with blue lettering; clean and unmarked with slight toning throughout; blue topstain; DJ complete and intact with light edgewear and chipping. Jacket drawing by James Ernst (illustrator). The book was made into a television series of the same name in 1956 starring Wally Cox. 23 episodes were made. 'The entire series later ran on the BBC from the fall of 1960 to the summer of 1961. First Knopf American editions are extremely scarce.
