Signed, first edition, number 216 of 1,000 released special editions. Red leather boards; front cover displays a black square with the title in gilt, and one gilt star below the title. Spine features same box and gilt text, with the addition of the author's name; publisher's name also in gilt, as well ast the publication date. Minimal scuffing to the back board. Top and bottom corner of front board slightly rubbed. Minor scuffing to the spine. Top edge gilt. Fore edge sustained very faint/minor stain, tan in color. Marbled paste downs and free end pages. Complete with red place-holder ribbon. Red buckram slipcase - sustained moderate edge / shelf wear, but still firmly in tact. Cloth of the bottom enclosed portion frayed slighly. All wear to the book itself sustained due to tight nature of slipcase.
